Early desk top computers were dismal compared to now. Tiny random access memory, floppy disks for data storage that held only small amounts of data and a printer that was so noisy plugging our ears was practically a necessity. But we could make corrections on a letter and save it for later use. We could print envelopes over and over from the data base. And we could easily perform calculations that required a slide rule and books of tables previously. It wasn't really so bad after all...
